Probably Fancies Himself a Historian

This is easily the dumbest thing I’ve read in the past…hour.

This point is so hard to explain to right-wing work friends. Taxation *with* representation will always be wealth redistribution.

~Some Fuckstupid Twitter User

Just WOW.  I’m seriously starting to believe a percentage of the populace is severely brain damaged.

Taxation WITH representation means WE get to say what is done with the money, via our “hirelings,” those assbags we send to Washington.  Where we are failing, as employers, is in keeping those pricks in line, preventing them from doing what THEY want with the cash, and instead making them do what WE want.  That’s how this shit is supposed to work, people.

Instead most of us are complacent.  Elect the person that talks the best game, then let them go to DC and do whatever the fuck they want.  And then treat them like they’re the boss.  They’re in government so they must be in charge, right?

WRONG

Calling taxation “wealth redistribution” is simply your way, Mister Fuckstupid Twitter User, of rationalizing the stated intentions of your candidate, to make them a bit more palatable.  Oh, we’re already paying taxes, what’s a little more?  Besides, it won’t be US paying, it’ll be teh Evul Rich Corporations.  Idiot.

As much as I dread The Messiah’s Ascension, a perverse part of me looks forward to sitting back and watching the ensuing carnage, and laughing my entire ass off when these very same proponents start howling for his blood because he’s taxing THEM.  Or, you know, not making with the handouts fast enough.

  1. It’s enough to make your eyes bleed. Widespread, chosen stupidity.

  2. That’s the bit that is most puke-a-licious, that it is “chosen.” You just want to shake ‘em until they come to their senses.
