If there’s one thing we proto-conservatives should take away from this experience, it is a very healthy hatred for the traditional media outlets and their blatant left-wing pandering. I’m sorry, NY Times…did you say it was raining outside? Well, let me just go check because I no longer believe anything your corrupt partisan ass has to say.
For you who actually voted for the Empty Suit, I do recall the sense of hope a younger candidate can bring, I did after all vote for Bill Clinton. Then he slapped together an unrealistic health care package as a sop to campaign promises (which was promptly defeated), and retired to the Oval Office for knobbers from the staff. I’m not saying younger candidates are necessarily worse, I’m saying their track record is somewhat against them. *coff*Kennedy*coff*
It would have helped had the [R] party not nominated a man pretty much universally politically despised, by actual Republicans and RINOs alike. It is my personal theory that the RNC had already decided there was no way in Hades they were winning this election, regardless of who they fielded, and it was McCain’s turn anyway. So, despite the enormous expenditure of cash, it was all for show. Bread and Circuses was already on the menu.
I would ask Obama voters why they voted (I have my own theory), but I don’t think I could restrain myself from punching them dead in the face before they could answer.
At any rate the next four years of the Jughead and Gaffe-boy Sshow should provide arseloads of blog material. That’s something, I suppose.
