From the aptly named Jim Moran [D-Va]:
The money quote:
We have been guided by a Republican administration who believes in the simplistic notion that people who have wealth are entitled to keep it and they have an antipathy towards redistributing wealth and they may be able to sustain it for a while but it doesn’t work in the long run.
You know what else I find a “simplistic notion”? Tolerating brainless idiots like this in government. And allowing the ideology that inspires such asinine logic to exist.
If the Democrats want to take the gloves off and outright declare their socialist agenda, then I’m more than ready for American Revolution II: Revolution Harder.
(voiceover)
In a world where hard work and innovation are looked upon with suspicion and fear, where ‘sharing the wealth’ is the government’s motto…a few brave souls are going to get mad.
And then they’re going to get even.
(insert music and scene montage)
Via Mike and a shitload of other people.

Hmmmm, so the people who produce goods, earn wealth and distribute that wealth by purchasing other goods and services are “simplistic” to believe that they know better how to “distribute” THEIR money than the government?
My mantra for the near future is this: 2012 is just around the corner…2010 is even closer… Repeat as needed.

So, do you think this movie will be out in time for Christmas? I’m starting to wonder…

So what is his idea of “the long run?” We’ve been doing it like this for some 230 years. So far so good. As a matter of fact, it was working wonderfully…until government got involved.
Thanks guys.

DW: Of course not. Only a few of us are truly pissed off RIGHT NOW. It’ll take a bit for the rest to catch up…probably around the time they figure out The Messiah isn’t going to be paying for their gas, mortgages and crack supply.
Folly: In-fucking-deed.
