  1. Meh – all they backed off of was service and war related wounds. I think this means bye-bye for dependent coverage and the usual health care options…

  2. Point stands though. He’s got that leftist attachment to being seen a particular way.

  3. Wish I could say “I agree”, LG. But I don’t. The only thing that will come close to re-acquiring control of some sorts will be the winning back of the House, the Senate or both in 2010 by the Repub’s. And, sadly, the Repub’s are doing very little to make-right their own dysfunctional house. And here we are w/a short 20 months away from the election. DD

  5. Glad to hear it. Just had a harrowing experience over at Redstate. They booted my a__ off. I didn’t fit within their narrow view of conservatism. So, I’m a bit gun shy right now. Ha! thanks. DD

  8. I think he probably accomplished much of what he wanted to with this — those already serving in the military will not trust him, those who would consider entering the military will not trust him. Therefore, there will be more who retire, less who sign up, thus making this country less safe. Mission accomplished.

This is an aside, LG, but what do you think of this H.R. 1388, which appears to be about involuntary/voluntary service ala Rahm Emmanuel?
