Back many moons ago, my brother rolled his own because he could buy tobacco by the pound and rolling papers by the case for about the same cost as a carton.
So, there’s definitely a cost savings with rolling your own.

I’ve been rolling my own (using a cigarette machine and preformed filter tubes) for at least a decade because it is dramatically less expensive than buying pre-made cigarettes.
However, I’ve heard that a major tax increase on bulk tobacco is impending.
