Good Morning, Comrades

By  ·  March 30th, 2009

I have to ask those of my 152 loyal readers who might be somewhat older than my own 39 years…have you ever seen any-fucking-thing like this?

White House and GM sources had told CNN Sunday that Wagoner would resign as part of the federal government’s bailout strategy for the troubled automaker.

“On Friday I was in Washington for a meeting with Administration officials. In the course of that meeting, they requested that I ‘step aside’ as CEO of GM, and so I have,” Wagoner said in a statement posted to the GM Web site.

I mean, of course, in a NON-communist country?

  2. nope, never seen anything like ANYTHING in the past several months … but then, we’ve never had such an uneducated marxist ignoramus in the White House before, and never had such am anti-American democrap government pulling the strings.
Can’t say I’m surprised, though, after reading Atlas Shruigged in my teens … more than 40 years ago … I’m been watching and waiting …

  3. This sort of thing is common…in Russia. China, too, come to think of it… Here? Nope, never happened before, methinks…

Marx, Lenin, and Stalin would be proud of Obama. Me? Not so much.

  4. What pisses me off is this: If these assholes want socialism, or communism, or any OTHER fucking -ism, it ALREADY EXISTS in some other Godless shithole corner of the world. Why don’t they GO THERE, instead of fucking up the greatest nation on the face of the Earth?
Wagoner’s the ultimate capitalist: He knows his company’s hopelessly fucked, and it’s the end of the long, green government money-train, so he’s taking his winnings and getting the fuck out. Sleazy, maybe, but smart.

  5. @B Smith:

They won’t go there because socialism/communism is expansionist. The idea (and the reality) is too miserable to succeed in free market of ideas, so their foreign policy reflects their debate/argument tactics: silence, intimidate, and destroy the opposition.
For a good example, look Obama and Geitner’s efforts at “global community organizing”. If companies and individuals can escape oppressive economic climates by crossing a border, they will so our Socialist in Chief and his apparatchik aim to extend economically oppressive policies across the globe making them inescapable.

  6. No, and I never thought I would ever see such a thing in this country, and I’ve been around a while. (Harry Truman was President when I was born.)
