I had taken those photos at face value and assumed that, just like in the civilian world, some of the troops were pretty damned happy to have the man as president. I would strongly disagree, of course, but that wouldn't have shocked me. That there was need (or, hell, even the <i>though</i>) of pre-screening for support surprises me, though. Which proves that I'm just fucking naive, I guess. Disappointing. I am surprised.
