Wakey, Wakey

It strikes me (hah, see what I did there) that if we really gave a shit about ending domestic violence that we wouldn’t be the least bit fucking concerned about “shocking” the audience.

The audience, in my opinion, needs a good fucking shock.

  1. Very effective ad. Too bad the PC people can’t see that.

  2. I have a good friend who’s husband use to beat the shit out of her. Crazy motherfucker…insanely jealous…whacked out jealous. She “escaped” to a different country, and returned much later to a different state. She truly feared for her life. It is much harder to disappear when you don’t have a lot of cash. She’s OK now, but the problem is…no one knows where her husband is. She continues to live in fear.

Handgun…she now has a CCH permit…good for her…and she has been trained with it…good for her.

You know, the “use of deadly force” laws vary from state to state, but here in NC (I know you don’t particularly care for this state) it is basically within the law to shoot some fucker if you feel you are in imminent danger for your life…imminent danger of serious bodily harm…or, sexual assault. Bottom line…sad but true…a Grand Jury will make that determination…I speak from experience.

Any man who beats any woman ought to be shot, in my opinion. That’s my Southern showing.

Anyway, I’m downtown against ANY domestic violence. Plain and simple.

    Have a good day.

It’s not just the pc people. A bunch of “conservatives” have their knickers in a twist as well. Some folks are bound and determined to focus on the wrong part of the story.

It should shock and offend people into doing something about domestic violence, some folks would rather concentrate on sanitizing the media to fit their sensibilities than confront the actual issue. Blighters, the lot of them.

    This is the correct answer.

    That’s my Northern showing.

  5. Any spouse, domestic partner, or significant other who beats their spouse, domestic partner, or significant other deserves to be shot. The sex of either party should be irrelevant.

  6. I’ll vote with “top of the chain” …. we’ve let the media make this a “poor downtrodden woemn” thing for too long. STAMP OUT (heh) all domestic violence.

  8. Frankly, the PSA should be shown,to wake some women up to this issue. Other that that, the two best ways to stop domestic violence is; one, don’t marry asshole men,and two, arm your self, and the first time he strikes you will be his last time.
