I don’t find patchouli offensive at all. It’s the stench of unwashed hippie that the patchouli doesn’t cover up which offends me.

Full face hepa filtered respirators and hooded Tyvek coveralls. You don’t want to get your nice clothes bloody and just in case the citrus doesn’t quite cut the patchouli stench.

A sock full of oranges might work better. If they can get squished a little during, the nice citrusy scent will help offset the patchouli smell.
