A large LG thank you to those of you who’ve emailed your approbation over the past couple of weeks.  I’d apologize for the general lack of content around here these days but until we invent some new words for “cocksucking traitorous motherfucking apologist dickbiter” I’m kind of tapped out.

Busy in the garden and the kids are out of school, too, yeah.

Been a bit busy over at Simon-Jester.org these past few days, but never fear, regular snark will resume shortly.

I suppose it was the new project, Simon-Jester.org, that really got me thinking about this…  I run this site under a pseudonym, hurling invective and choice bits from my storehouse of carefully gathered curse words at those who would slash and burn our Constitution, our capitalist way of life, our future ability to live, work, love and die unfettered.  And maybe you could make the case for continued anonymity, particularly with all the bullshit laws coming down the pike, but you know, when you start advocating taking a stand, you pretty much have to start at home.

Hi, I’m Stacy Tabb.  Some of you will remember me from Blogatelle.com.  (It’s a pr0n site, now, I don’t recommend surfing on over there.)  Others will know me from here, though the biz is somewhat slow right now.  Still others will know me from here, where cooking, photography and gardening are the main subjects.  And yet others will know me from here, but as Hazel Stone.  

All those people are me and yet LG is me, too.  I’m a venter…I get torqued, curse like a sailor and then move on.  LG.org, along with my backyard garden, has kept me sane these past few months, what with my country going to hell and my kid trying to fail 6th grade (that last part is still up in the air, btw).  It’s been adding to the stress, keeping all these pseudonyms straight, so there…that’s one less thing right there.

So, erm…nice to meet you all!  You know, again.

Gee, quiet around here, eh?  Well, when your kid is doing his damndest to fail 6th grade, and your government is ass-raping you in new and inventive ways, there just doesn’t seem to be much to talk about.  

Snark will return when I can force this blade out of my hand.

I’m with Joanie, I think, but not because I don’t wish to say anything that’s not nice.  Aheh.  But rather because the “event” is not worth my time, attention and/or words.  

The kids are out of school tomorrow, so I think we’ll bake cookies and bread instead of watching anything on TV, or reading anything on the ‘net.  We’ll turn on the Pandora station – which features nothing at all resembling a frothing talk radio host, or inane DJ – and we’ll make with the flour, sugar and yeast.  Then MLG will have the pleasure of coming home from his unfortunately left-leaning office to a haven of fresh bread, cookies, and people who are the exact opposite of incurably stupid.

You guys might have noticed that last post was actually by Mister Liberty Girl.  Some of you may have already discerned – whether through writing style, or simple ESP – that he is also “Ted” of The Line is Here. 

And yes, that of course means I’m “Hazel,” also of TLIH.  Hi!

What can I say, I needed an outlet where I could freely drop the F-bomb, a place I could REALLY cut loose, and Liberty Girl has been just that.  The catharsis I gain from my daily postings here pretty much ensures one of my neighbors gets to live another day.

I’m telling you this now because Ted/MLG still posts over on TLIH, particularly when he’s all het up – like he is today – and I’m going to be cross-posting them here since our audiences are so different.  I just didn’t want you all to think I’m stepping out on MLG, ‘cos them’s kick-a-bitch words.

So, er, enjoy!

All I wanted was a sodding plugin that would tell me when all you bastards update your sites, so I don’t have to sit down here four times a day to run through my ENTIRE gotdamned link list just to read something new.

Finding the plugin was the easy part.  Except, oops, widget-only, and this piece de shite theme (on the backend anyway) has never been widget-aware.  Fuckit, I said, I’m widgetizing this bitch.

Eight fucking hours later – having stomped around and cursed for a bit, then finally tearing down the asshole theme and rebuilding it with decent fucking code – it looks a little different, but the fucking thing is now widget-fucking-aware. 

Only to find the blogroll plugin adds something on the order of TWO HUNDRED ERRORS to my validation check.

Not that I generally give a rat’s ass about standards-validation.  There are just too many operating systems and browsers out there to worry about pleasing them all.  This bitch looks its regular smokin’ self in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.  It looks like it’s having a grand mal seizure in IE but you shouldn’t be using that pissant browser anyway.

Now, onward.

Hello, my 83 loyal readers.  Did you have a fine holiday?  I hope so.  We had a fine holiday, too.  Well, if you completely leave out the ten hour drive each way.

The post-holiday malaise is still well upon me, and the kids are off visiting the grandparents until this weekend, so I predict posting will remain light this week.  This is the last bit of college football we get until this fall, as well, so we must watch games we would not ordinarily give the time of day.  

So, please continue to enjoy your families/down-time/what-have-you, and I’ll be around-ish later-ish.

You know, if I have to see this sonofabitch topless one more time I might just gouge out my own eyes with a spork and cleanse the resulting cavities with a mixture of bleach, lighter fluid, and hydrochloric acid.
