Hey, long time no bitch, eh? Well, we can fix that right up here today…
Debbie McLucas is one of four hospital supervisors at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield. Last week, she hung a three-by-five foot American flag in the office she shares with the other supervisors.
When McLucas came to work Friday, her boss told her another supervisor had found her flag offensive. “I was just totally speechless. I was like, ‘You’re kidding me,’” McLucas said.
McLucas’ husband and sons are former military men. Her daughter is currently serving in Iraq as a combat medic.
—
McLucas said the supervisor who complained has been in the United States for 14 years and is formerly from Africa. McLucas said the supervisor took down Debbie’s flag herself.
I just have one question: is the African supervisor in question an actual American citizen?
If no: have a nice big cup of go fuck yourself. Oh, and I’ll take that green card, kthx.
If yes: pistols at dawn.

Subject: Veto SB 2600
Apparently emboldened by the mass thievery going on at the national level, I see our Florida legislature has taken the policies of our Dear Leader to heart and started grabbing for cash with both greedy little hands. I am referring, of course, to SB 2600 in which $6 million dollars from the Division of Licensing Concealed Weapons and Firearm Trust Fund has been raided in a move that would make Vikings, Mongols and Tuskens quite proud.
I am the kind of voter who insists on research, and ordinarily I would quadruple-check anything disseminated by the NRA, however, I am most irritatingly required to rely on the their report of this misappropriation due to the myfloridahouse.gov website’s pitiful coding, which prompts me to download the ASP file that should instead be displaying the full text of the bill.
I sincerely hope this isn’t by design. That’s the sort of thing that could cause people to start filing lawsuits.
As a Citizen of this country, as a CCW holder in the state of Florida, I urge you to put an end to this foolishness. Line-item veto this misappropriation, line-item veto the threat to our state’s education budget if their trust fund theft is circumvented, and shine the light of publicity on the cockroaches that conceived the entire scheme. Prove to us that you’re different, that you’re not the typical politician, that you deserve your Governorship and a future Senate seat.

In a stunning display of oneupmanship, I’ve taken Tam’s jalapeno/feta cheese notion and kicked it the hell up a notch….
Half and gut the peppers, coat the halves in bread crumbs, stuff with sundried tomatoes, and top with feta cheese. Bake until golden/bubbly and serve with fresh lime-spritzed avocado slices.
Oh, and please remind me to never touch anything/anyone for the next five to seven days. (Sorry MLG!)

Dumb as a fucking rock:
Grammy-award winning musician Tony Bennett told CNSNews.com he “loves everything” Barack Obama has done in his first 100 days as president and thinks every American should “give him all-out support for anything he wants to do.”
Bennett further said that Americans should imitate the other countries of the world that support Obama. “I really hope that every citizen of the United States would imitate the rest of the world because they’re all for Obama,” said Bennett. “Every other country adores what happened – in our great country – to have him as president.”
One wonders how he’s survived this long being entirely incapable of independent thought.

No, no, no, no, NO.
The Florida Senate has passed a measure that toughens the state’s seat belt law.
The Senate voted 33-4 Tuesday to pass the Dori Slosberg and Katie Marchetti Safety Belt Law named in the memory of two young women killed in accidents while not wearing seat belts.
It has been my contention since I was a teenager (ergo possessing of a barely-functional forebrain) that the government has zero say in a person’s method of self-destruction, and in 20+ years of driving (and a few car accidents, some my fault and some not), that stance hasn’t changed one bit. If people are not capable of connecting the lack of a seatbelt to near-certain death in an automobile accident, then no one, least of all the sodding GOVERNMENT, has a say in that.
At the risk of dispelling the fuzzy-bunny illusions of some, we are not doing our species any favors by working so very hard to preserve those incapable of preserving themselves.
But we have higher brain functions! We’re not animals! Every human life is PRECIOUSSSSS!!!!
Yeah? And how’s that working out for us, eh?

It strikes me (hah, see what I did there) that if we really gave a shit about ending domestic violence that we wouldn’t be the least bit fucking concerned about “shocking” the audience.
The audience, in my opinion, needs a good fucking shock.

oooOOOOoooo…
“Clean coal is a dirty lie,” says environmentalist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who calls President Barack Obama and other politicians who commit taxpayer money to develop it “indentured servants” of the coal industry.
Yanno…I might have had a wee smidge of respect for him had he had the actual sack to use the word “slave” instead of the thinly-veiled euphemism “indentured servant.” But he’s a [D] and a K, so any chance of showing actual backbone falls somewhere between “I’m converting to Judaism” and “what do you mean you can’t swim??”

Oh MAH gad. How can anyone ever THINK of having something as déclassé as a CHICKEN right in their very BACK YARD??
Dear Pseudo-Elitist Fucktard:
(I call you a “pseudo” elitist because if you were truly elitist you wouldn’t be blogging for a living, eh?) You pathetic, whingy infants make me ill, with your dirt-shall-never-touch-this-manicure sensibilities. Just how do you suppose you reached your current ivory tower-esque height, little man….by springing forth from the forehead of a convenient deity? No, your foregoers tilled the land, husbandried the animals, GREW THEIR OWN FUCKING FOOD.
And they did it all, somehow, without being sneering, contemptuous asstards. I’m sure they’re looking down on you from Valhalla right now, wondering why your parents failed to raise you with anything resembling respect for those who work so hard to provide everything you snap up weekly at your local Whole Foods. Think all that just falls out of a gigantic horn of plenty, do you?
Having chickens in the yard does not automatically mean “poor,” nor does it mean “survivalist nutbar.” I would have chickens in a heartbeat if our lot size was large enough to meet the local livestock codes, because fresh eggs ROCK, you nard. And – I know this is going to be a difficult concept for you to grasp – things you’ve grown yourself (seeds you’ve started, plants you’ve tended, fruits you’ve harvested, livestock you’ve nurtured) JUST TASTE BETTER. It is partly because the results are “fresh off the vine,” and partly the intense satisfaction of having bygod done it yourself.
But I can see how the latter would be a completely alien concept for you, seeing as how it requires getting all DIRTY and stuff.
Signed With Hooting Derision,
Liberty Girl
